Bank Millennium has announced that its customers who use Huawei smartphones can also make contactless payments using Blik. The Bank Millennium mobile application is the first banking app that allows contactless payments to owners of devices made by the Chinese manufacturer.

The bank says that the new service can already be used by most Huawei smartphone users with the Millennium app. However, it can be doubted whether many of its customers will actually be able to pay in the new way. The institution made Blik C available to its customers in July this year, as the first of a group of banks working on it. However, the solution initially reached selected users, and it looks like the group is not expanding as quickly as Millennium's customers would have expected. This is because many of them still cannot find the new function in their banking app. A similar problem has been reported by customers of PKO BP, which was the second bank to implement the contactless Blik application and also makes it available only to selected customers.

Blik contactless payments are a solution for users of NFC-enabled phones, which allows them to pay in stationary shops using their smartphone. To use the service, you do not need to log into your bank's app or enter a code. Simply unlock your phone and bring it close to the terminal. Blik contactless payments are possible thanks to the cooperation of the system operator with Mastercard.
