The company’s office does not reveal a specific date within which the Google Pay service should improve
According to my unofficial information, Google plans to change the way Google Pay is used next year. It's about how some transactions are authorized. Currently, this is done using a PIN code on the seller's terminal. In the future, the service provider intends to allow payment authorization on the user's smartphone, e.g. by PIN or using biometrics, including fingerprints.

The Google press office in Poland confirms that Polish users will also be able to use the new solution. However, it is not known exactly when. - The Google Pay service is being gradually developed in Poland, so you can expect further changes, including the introduction of the option to authenticate payments by the user directly on a mobile device - this is the answer I received to my question in this matter.

I would like to remind you that users of competing payment tools, such as Apple Pay or Garmin Pay, can already use the solution in question. In their case, after authorizing the device biometrically (in the case of Apple Pay - a smartphone and in the case of Garmin Pay - a smartwatch), you can pay contactlessly for any amounts without having to confirm the transaction with a PIN code on the terminal. Google Pay also works similarly in many other countries.
