Allegro has announced several changes it intends to make to its terms and conditions in the coming months. One of the most interesting is expanding the range to include alcohol, which is scheduled for 21 October.

Retail sales of alcohol on Allegro will be possible as a pilot project for sellers with whom the platform has entered into separate agreements. As assured, they are duly authorized and experienced in online sales to ensure safety and legal compliance at every stage - from purchase to delivery. As alcoholic beverages can be sold, the ‘Wine and soft drinks’ category will be changed to ‘Alcohol Free’ on 21 October.

Moving on to other announced changes for sellers, it is worth mentioning increases in specific fees. As of 15 October, the minimum rates for clicking on a sponsored offer and displaying a graphic ad at allegro.pl will be raised. The package of changes scheduled for 1 November includes increased fees for deliveries and additional InPost and Poczta Polska services. For example, the delivery cost to an InPost parcel machine will increase from PLN 10.95 to PLN 11.49. As for Post Office services, the fee for Post Office courier delivery will increase from PLN 11.99 to PLN 14.99, while collection in points and vending machines will become more expensive from PLN 9.99 to PLN 11.99. On the other hand, Allegro has indicated that it will reduce the surcharge for delivering heavier parcels if one chooses the Allegro Kurier UPS and Allegro Kurier UPS COD methods.

In the coming months, several initiatives already launched will be taken a step further. For example, Allegro will begin enforcing the previously introduced obligation to link listings to the product catalog—listings not linked by 21 October will be removed. As part of closer cooperation with Orlen, Allegro Delivery methods will be available only within the framework of the Allegro Delivery program presented on cashless.pl. The list of protected brands will also be updated. Sellers are facing changes.

Preparations are also underway for the launch of allegro.hu, the Hungarian version of the service. Allegro has announced that transactions on this market will be handled - in addition to PayU and Allegro Finance - also by Przelewy24.

Among several more minor changes, a few more are worth mentioning. As part of an update to the Privacy Policy on 21 October, it will be added that Allegro will provide external authentication services, such as passkeys, for account activation. The removal of unused accounts has also been announced - Allegro will terminate accounts through which no one has bought or sold any product for five years after registration or ten years after the account's last transaction. After 21 October, sellers listing on Allegro Business will no longer be able to disable Allegro Pay Business (deferred payments for a business) in their listings.
