Twisto is not letting go of the Polish market. Announces new services and tempts customers with promotions for paid plans

As part of the promotion, new customers can use the Online and Space plans free of charge for six months

Twisto has launched a promotion inviting customers to use the fintech's card and payment plans for free for six months. Fintech, which specializes in deferred payments, also plans to add several new services.

In terms of new additions to Twisto's service portfolio include ATM withdrawals using the Twisto card (the current price list shows that the card cannot be used at an ATM), loyalty programs, a more comprehensive cashback offer, and new card products. The fintech also intends to expand into new markets. The cashless.pl service asked Twisto representatives about the details of the latest solutions, the planned implementation time for the services mentioned above, and in which countries the fintech intends to debut. We were answered that, at the moment, the company cannot provide more information about its plans.

It is interesting to note, however, that after a period of reduced activity in Poland, with successive services being withdrawn or access to them restricted, Twisto has decided to take new initiatives to develop its business and has begun to push harder for new customers, as evidenced by its advertising campaign and current promotion.

Under it, the fintech is waiving six-month subscription fees for new customers who activate the paid plans - Online or Space. The Online plan costs PLN 9.99 per month as standard and, unlike the free Start plan, includes issuing a virtual Twisto card, thanks to which the user can pay with deferment wherever Mastercard is accepted (both in stationary and online shops). Under the Online plan, customers can count on a limit of PLN 10,000, which they can use according to their needs. On the other hand, a plastic card is also available under the Space plan, which costs PLN 19.99 per month as standard. The highest tariff also includes benefits for payments in foreign currencies - Twisto does not charge currency conversion fees.

Twisto's road has been a bit bumpy in recent times. It has been active in the Polish fintech market for several years. In the past, its investors included ING Bank. However, in 2021, the Czech company passed into the hands of Zip, an Australian tycoon in the BNPL (buy now, pay later) market. Due to a confluence of circumstances, this one decided to divest its European assets, including Twisto, which eventually came under the sway of Turkish fintech Param last August.

Twisto's revenues place the fintech at the forefront of BNPL operators operating in Poland, albeit with a gap separating it from the two most prominent players in the industry. According to data from the National Court Register, Twisto's revenue in 2023 was PLN 27.3 million, a slight improvement on the year before, when it was PLN 27 million. Allegro Pay, on the other hand, had revenues of almost PLN 251.6 million in 2023, while PayPo had revenues of PLN 192.2 million. As for the financial result, Allegro Pay boasted a profit of PLN 173.7 million last year, PayPo came out ahead by PLN 45.6 million, while Twisto recorded a loss of PLN 4.1 million. However, it is worth noting that this is a significantly better result than the year before - in 2022, Twisto's loss reached almost PLN 25 million.
