In just a few weeks, Polish customers will be able to download a new application from Austrian Raiffeisen. Under the name Raiffeisen Digital Bank, the institution will initially offer cash loans of up to PLN 100,000 with a repayment period of up to 60 months. According to "Puls Biznesu" daily, the application is to be supplemented with other products and services, among others for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Raiffeisen, operating in Poland under the Raiffeisen Polbank brand, was one of the largest retail banks in our country. It disappeared from Polish market in autumn 2019 after an operational merger in which its customers' products were transferred to the BNP Paribas platform. Raiffeisen Digital Bank, however, is to be something completely different. Poland is the first country to which the institution is coming. It is to offer its services completely remotely, and if it proves successful, it will bud into other markets.

"Poles are ready to use fully digital banking services and products. We want to be a part of this dynamically developing area, that is why we created a brand responding to the market and consumers' demand", says Kamil Niewiatowski, RDB manager for Poland, quoted by PAP news agency.
