If the new branch in Warsaw's Bielany neighborhood tests well with customers, the bank will remodel all of its branches
The new BGŻ BNP Paribas branch has big windows that invite passers-by to come inside. A large screen on the wall, displaying advertisements among other things, is supposed to do the same. Inside there are three work stations with internet access, power outlets, a printer, etc., as well as computers and tablets for those who don't have a laptop with them. Employees serve free coffee, tea and croissants. There is a spacious toilet if anyone needs it.

Maciej Chlebowski from BGŻ BNP Paribas says that visitors can also use a small conference room that can be booked for a meeting. The bank is already working on a dedicated smartphone app that can be used for booking. The branch's interior design and decorations underline the bank's DNA as an institution that respects the environment. One example of that is a wall decorated with real plants instead of paint or wallpaper.
The BGŻ BNP Paribas representative emphasizes that there is no traditional counter in the branch. Customers can talk to employees anywhere - while making coffee in the kitchen area or while sitting in comfortable chairs. Customers can set up an account at the branch and immediately receive a ready-to-use card, take a cash loan, a mortgage etc. But the sales are only supposed to be an additional element. The new branch's main purpose is to build good relations with current and future customers. The branch does not provide cash services, which have been moved to a 24/7 automatic area with ATMs and ADMs.

The BGŻ BNP Paribas representative says that Warsaw's new branch is the first one of the kind opened by the company in Poland. The bank is planning to open three more, which will differ in size and number of employees. The smallest one will only have one employee on site. If the tests bring positive results - and we're hearing that the first new branch is already providing some positive surprises - the bank will aim to rebuild all of its branches this way.
