Cinkciarz admitted in a statement sent to the media that the prosecution's blocking of the accounts was a "death sentence" for them.
In a press release issued today, the board of directors of Cinkciarz said that a week before Christmas Eve, it had delivered a letter to the prosecutor's office revealing the suspected theft of its property by officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBŚ). 'Instead of launching a thorough investigation, the prosecutor's office reacted to this information with a violent attack and blocked the company's accounts, apparently to intimidate and pressure the firm,' the message read. At the same time, it acknowledged that this was a ‘death sentence’ for the company.

The fact that 328 bank accounts belonging to Cinkciarz had been blocked was announced on pre-Christmas Monday by Anna Marszałek, spokeswoman for the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań. This is one of the results of an investigation into how the company's clients were led to dispose of their property disadvantageously. Marszałek said that the prosecutor's office had received more than 800 notifications from people who transferred money to Cinkciarz to exchange it and did not receive the money due to them back.

In the context of Cinkciarz's current problems, it is worth noting the finances of the entire Conotoxia Holding group, to which the Cinkciarz exchange office belongs. According to an analysis carried out by the researchers of the Bankier.pl website, the group has been showing systematic losses since 2016, totaling 191 million PLN by 2023. The company financed its operations with, among other things, revolving loans - at the end of this year, it has to repay more than PLN 133 million of such borrowings. All this was accompanied by high payments to the management, which amounted to more than PLN 68 million over eight years.
