More open banking at Revolut. But the service still does not very well

The number of banks whose accounts can be linked to Revolut has increased from four to seven

Alior, ING, mBank, Millennium, Pekao, PKO BP and Santander. These are the banks whose customers can link their accounts to Revolut's app. This is almost twice as many as in November 2021, when Revolut offered open banking services in Poland. At the time, this only included ING, mBank, Pekao, and Santander. Still, the solution is far from perfect.

Using open banking, Revolut customers can fund their accounts in the app. However, we understand that the current process is not as convenient as we would like. It requires you to enter the account number from which you want to perform the top-up, and then redirects you to your bank's website for further steps.

However, once you get through this stage, you cannot immediately enjoy your money in your Revolcie account. The transfer is carried out via the traditional Elixir system, which takes at least a few hours to top up. In addition, the transaction did not go through in my case. The day after the order, I received an email that the transfer could not be accepted and was returned to the sender. Except for the account from which I completed the transaction, after two days, I still do not have the money.

Unofficial information suggests that Revolut's representatives know about the inconvenience of recharging using open banking. That said, they have nothing to reproach themselves within this regard and blame the way open banking is implemented in Poland for how the process works. Therefore, the recommended form of recharging accounts in the Revolut app is to perform a transaction from a payment card linked to the UK fintech app.
