Spółka Polskie ePłatności poinformowała o zakończeniu transakcji, na mocy której jej właścicielem została duńska grupa Nets. Wartość przejęcia wyniosła ponad 1,8 mld zł. Zgodę na nie wydał ostatnio Urząd Ochrony Konkurencji i Konsumentów. Wcześniej odpowiednie zezwolenia na zakup udziałów w spółkach wchodzących w skład PeP i posiadających licencje krajowych instytucji płatniczych (PayLane i BillBird) wydała Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego.

Polskie ePłatności is today the third player on the Polish payment terminal market. It boasts that it currently manages a network of over 160,000. such devices - only eService and First Data Polska have more. PeP focuses on serving small and medium-sized enterprises as well as many niches, such as automatic machines, e.g. with drinks or snacks. The announcement shows that after taking over by Nets Polskie ePłatności will retain the brand and the existing management board, headed by Jarosław Mikos.

The PeP Group employs over 600 employees. In 2020, the company expects to achieve net revenues of around 55 million euros. Its current owner was the Innova Capital fund, which made an acquisition in 2016. Since then, Polskie ePłatności has significantly increased the number of terminals at points of sale from approx. 33 thousand. The company has carried out seven successful acquisitions during that time and thus significantly expanded its range of services. On the other hand, Nets in Poland, apart from PeP, also has shares in Dotpay/eCard companies and the company that is the operator of the Przelewy24 website.
