Initially PKO was planning on implementing Apple pay in the third quarter of the year, which was announced the moment the service was rolled out in Poland. It later turned out that it wouldn't be possible due to the announcement of new Apple smartphone models on September 12th. Because of the tech company's internal regulations, the introduction of the payment service was delayed until the first Tuesday of October.
