Initially, Austrian vignettes will be available for purchase on the Autopay website, then they will also go into the mobile app
Polish fintech Autopay Mobility has announced that it has become one of three, and the only one from our part of Europe, vendors of Austrian motorway vignettes. This is the result of a tender awarded by ASFiNAG, the company responsible for the maintenance and financing of Austrian expressways. Sales of the vignettes are expected to begin later this quarter.

"The sale of digital vignettes is one of the most important elements of Autopay's development strategy. Entering the Austrian market is the first step to expand abroad also in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). At the moment, it is the only solution on the market that allows you to purchase vignettes for different countries from the app," says Miłosz Kurzawski from the management board of Autopay Mobility.

As a reminder, Autopay currently already allows payment for digital motorway vignettes entitling users to travel on Czech, Slovenian, Slovakian and Hungarian roads. Now Austrian motorways will also be added to this list, although Autopay users from Germany will benefit from the service first. In the next step, it will also be made available in Poland. Initially, Austrian vignettes will be available for purchase via the website and later also in the mobile app.
Fintech Autopay Mobility boasts that its app is already used by more than two million customers. The app allows payments to be made for motorway journeys, the use of car washes, parking in private car parks or filling up vehicles at selected petrol stations.
